Active Meditation for WILLPOWER

You are a powerful goddess fully responsible and capable of everything in your life!!  Make yourself proud, prove yourself right, and love yourself always! 

Building Willpower and Mind Strength Active Meditation.  Benefits include but are not limited to:

  • Increased willpower
  • Increased confidence
  • Increased mental fortitude
  • Increased lung capacity
  • Strengthened nervous system
  • Toned arms

Prep Step 1:

Select an empowering song or songs that will have you feeling fully capable of being able to do anything!! (have them set and ready to be 1, 3, 5, 7, or 11 minutes on a playlist)

Prep Step 2:

Sit comfortably with your legs crossed or in rock pose (sitting on your heels).

Prep Step 3:

Extend both arms out parallel to the ground out to the sides. The elbows and wrists straight with fingers extended (looking like a goddess bird ready for flight). There is a variation to the hand position where the thumb tip touches the base of the pinkie while the 4 fingers remain extended (provides an additional challenge).

Prep Step 4:

Close your eyes and concentrate on your third eye point, located between your eyebrows. If you have trouble with that or an overwhelming amount of thoughts have your eyes slightly opened and stare down to the tip of your nose.

 

Prep Step 5:

“Breath of fire” if you are unfamiliar the breath of fire is fast-paced equal inhale and exhale, that is best learned by sticking out your tongue and panting like a dog. Once you grasp the pumping movement in the stomach please put your tongue back in and close your mouth and perform through your nose. IF the breath of fire is not working for you then simply inhale as the arms go up and exhale as the arms go down. 

To Begin:

Start playlist and begin by elegantly flapping your goddess arms up six inches from parallel and then down six inches from parallel, so total range is 12 inches to the rate of your breath.  I noticed that the faster you go the easier it is, try it out for yourself. 

In general, this exercise is done for 1, 3, 5, 7 or 11 minutes. You can work your way up to increased time or jump right into 11 minutes! I just attempted 11 and wow…my arms are weak and or there’s a reason I’m going this for my willpower..I’m starting at 3 minutes a day.. the discomfort kicks in for me before 30 seconds. 😉

Once complete, take a deep breath in through your nose, hold as you stretch your arms up and tighten/squeeze your lower internal organs in “apply root lock” and shoot your energy up your spine. Release. Repeat two more times for a total of three times.

Additional Notes:

Since you are doing this active mediation to build WILLPOWER it is essential to push through the discomfort. However, do not push yourself beyond discomfort and into pain!! Yes, you want to build willpower but be careful and you do not want to injure yourself.

Remind yourself what you will be able to accomplish with your willpower and how sleek and toned your arms are going to be.

WILLPOWER is like a muscle, meaning when your shoulders hurt that is YOU building your WILLPOWER MUSCLE!  I have noticed with this and all exercises that when I smile and keep myself with a joyful mind the exercise is much much easier and enjoyable. Try it both ways and see the difference for yourself..It is kind of like all of life…all in your perception. 😉

Self-Care Goddess Game for the Full Lotus Moon *JUNE 28, 2018

Hello Goddess!

 

We are starting a Self-Care Goddess Game this week and I would love for you to play if you’re up for it! The basic intention is to honor our Goddess bodies and create an even more beautiful life for a full month! Happy dances to your health and happiness. 🙂

 

Although there is a great free self-care 101 class that you can watch oftentimes just watching a class isn’t enough. We need to create habits and structures that help us live the life we desire. I call this the embodiment phase. We need to make the information we consume part of who we are and what we do. It can be easy to know a lot of stuff but it’s whole other thing to actually act on what we know. This month is going to be about actually doing it! Yeahhhh! And, if you haven’t watched the class yet, no worries watch it HERE. We are starting this on June 28, 2018 (Full Moon to Full Moon).

Most of us don’t allow ourselves the time and space to truly restore. I am feeling this even more now with a 5 1/2-year-old and a 16-month-old (that is still waking up throughout the night). I am needing this self-care reboot as much as anyone else. I can give so much that sometimes I forget that I have needs and desires too. This is not serving me, my family or community. It’s just not! So, this is why I am so personally committed to self-care because I know how much I need it and how important it is for all of us to flourish. We will only get more awesome with more self-care! YAY for our awesomeness! 🙂

 

Next up….What is a Goddess Game? Well, I believe all women are Goddesses (beauty, power, love, grace, etc. it’s just who we are!) and I like the word game better than project or guide. The game feels fun to me. 😉 So, if we call it a game then hopefully we will have more fun with it rather than just another thing on our to-do list. 🙂 When we show up and do our best that’s a win, and that sounds like fun to me!

 

How do we play?

We will start on June 28th and go until July 27th. 🌕 Full Lotus moon to 🌕 full moon.

Here’s are some basic guidelines:

  1. Watch or listen to the self-care 101 class if you haven’t. Pick your favorite big ideas and the things you want to implement into your life this month.
  2. Set the intention to honor your Goddess body and create an even more beautiful life! I have it on my whiteboard.
  3. Print off the workbook and poster. Also, download the meditation and affirmations so you can use those during your chillax time. (Zip Download of ALL👆🏼)

Next steps:

* Create an intention — I am going with honoring and celebrating my Goddess body and create an even more beautiful life.

* SuperHero Persona — Create a superhero name. This is a way to playfully tap into your higher self. Mine is Radiant Rejuvenated Goddess.

* Missions — These are habits/things you want to do on a daily basis. These may be new or ones you’ve stopped doing and want to start up again because they make you feel awesome.

* Ritual  — This is something that you want to do weekly. It could be a time in nature, a completion party, alone time, or going to a yoga/dance/fitness class, etc.

* Experiment — Things that you’d like to try this month. Playing with putting some of the “big ideas” into practice.

* Goddess Adventure — This is a bigger self-care adventure. It might be going to a workshop, or on a vacation, going to the spa, camping, or just giving yourself permission to do nothing for a day or a week. 😉 Whatever would feel joyful and make your mind and body rejuvenate.

We have shared ours so you have a framework to work with and see how we’re choosing to play. Alexandra is a mother of two and I currently don’t have any children and devote a lot of time to self-care so please don’t be overwhelmed if it seems like a lot. 😉

 

Essentially, you will have daily, weekly, monthly intentions. The goal is to have it be simple enough that it all fits on one page. We do not want to create more overwhelm. This is about taking time to recharge, do less and enjoy more. And, if you don’t want to do any of the above and you just want to keep it uber simple pick ONE thing you will do this month that will support your radiance!

Meditation for Courage, Prosperity AND to Remove ALL Obstacles

This meditation is powerful and recommended anytime you feel stuck, need to be more grounded, and want to attract prosperity. This is a classic Kundalini Yoga meditation for courage, fearlessness, and a strong aura and radiant body.  This mediation really aids in giving ourselves the strength to deal with our life challenges.

Effects:
This meditation has 40 sounds, which together balance the 5 tattvas (air, water, fire, earth, and ether), the 7 chakras and the arch line. This mantra can penetrate into anything and help avoid misfortune. It has the power to break through any resistance or obstacles. It is sacred but it is not secret. This meditation was given by Yogi Bhajan to be successful during these challenging times and to deal with the intensity of the energy during the shift to the Aquarian Age.

Prosperity and Presence:
This meditation was also given as a prosperity meditation. There is one basic requirement for prosperity and manifesting ‘You have to be home when the postman comes.’ In other words, you have to be grounded in your body on Planet Earth and not floating around in the ethers. Pumping your navel in this meditation can keep you present. But if you have any propensity for being ungrounded and spaced out while meditating and in life, then do this mediation in archer pose. 5-11 minutes on each side. You will become super present, strong, and magnetic. If you resist the thought, then this meditation in archer pose is for you!

Directions: Before chanting, pick one life challenge that seems impossible to figure out and/or difficult to deal with and place it in your heart while you chant this mantra. Let the energy infuse the situation. While chanting focus on the mantra and its energetic effects. Pumping the navel with each HAR will keep you present in your body, but you can get totally absorbed into the sounds and feel very refreshed afterward. You may be surprised how you feel about your current situation.

Sit in easy pose with the hands in Gyan mudra (thumb and forefinger touching) on the knees, elbows straight. Chant this mantra 11-31 minutes in the morning before starting your day to program your psyche for success and courage, to uplift your spirits, to create an aura of invincibility, and a super strong radiant body.  You may find that 11 minutes is not enough. You want to keep going and get rejuvenated by the sounds. 15 or 22 minutes is good and 31 minutes is very satisfying and empowering.Repeat before each of the eight aspects of the Divine HAR, HAR, HAR, HAR

 

Pump your navel center with each HAR. Be sure to touch the tip of the tongue to the upper palate when you are making the ‘R’ of HAR and the ‘N’ in the other mantras. The ‘R’ will the be enunciated correctly to stimulate the pineal and pituitary glands and awaken the frontal lobe and neutral mind.

Chant in a monotone, enunciating clearly each syllable. Do not mumble, move your mouth to make the sounds.

HAR is a manifesting mantra. The other eight mantras are aspects of the Divine. Chanting HAR before each aspect pulls that energy into our physical and subtle bodies.

Although many times I experience a myriad of ideas and openings for my challenge during the process it is said it’s best to sit quietly when finished and feel the effects of the meditation in your physical body, aura, and radiant body. Consolidate, contain, and radiate love. Be available for intuitive messages about your current life challenge. They may come directly after the meditation or later in the day. Be available to listen to your soul.

When first learning this mantra you may want to have this screen in view so that you can have eyes nearly closed but open enough to read and enunciate properly and clearly.

I generally put on a soothing alarm to go off after 12 minutes or play a 12-minute song. I then get myself into position in easy pose, hands in Gyan mudra, close eyes take a few deep breaths and then place my challenge in my heart and begin the chanting. Once the alarm goes off, I am sure to continue with the mantra until I finish “Akamay”

Invoke the WEALTH of the Universe! “Sobagh Kriya”

Invoke the Wealth of the Universe with the “Sobagh Kriya”

The Sobagh Kriya is a five-part kriya. (15 MINUTE VERSION that we’re doing for our 40-day practice!)

Each part must be practiced for an equal amount of time of 3 minutes.

Audio File to play to easily transition into each posture: (timed out 3 min, 3 min, 3 min, 1 min, 1 min, 1 min, 3 min.)

 

Meditation #1 (3 MINUTES)

To become rich and prosperous with wealth and values is to have the strength to come through. It means transmissions from your brain and the power of your intuition can immediately tell you what to do. By practicing this meditation, you will be in a position to immediately change gears. If you need to go in reverse, you can go in reverse. If you need to go forward, you can go forward.

This is a very simple, old system. This is called “moon mound.” (Indicates outer side of hand along the small finger.) This side of my hand along the index finger is called Jupiter. Put the thumbs under the index fingers. (Thumbs cross below the hands, with the right thumb under the left.) I hit the Moon; I hit Jupiter. You are thinking, “What is this going to do?” This is going to straighten your head out.

Chant with Tantric Har with each movement. Alternate hitting the moon sides and the Jupiter sides of the hands together at the level of the heart center. Eyes should be nine-tenths dosed, focusing on the tip of the nose. 

This meditation stimulates the mind: the Moon center and the Jupiter. When Jupiter and the Moon come together, there is no way in the world you will not create wealth. Not money as money is a common word merely a medium. TRUE WEALTH! It’ll come to you!

Meditation #2 (3 MINUTES)

Now, there are times when you are depressed, there are times you are impressed. When you are impressed, you usually do the wrong things. Are you listening? And when you are depressed, you are always doing wrong things. That’s a fact. When you are impressed, you don’t use your intuition.

Stretch your arms up sixty degrees. Open your fingers, spreading them widely. The fingers have to be totally hard. If you do it correctly, you will get the results. In rhythm with the same Tantric Har tape from Meditation #1 but without chanting out loud, cross your arms alternating right over left and then left over right, still keeping the fingers stretched open.

Alternating: Right in front, left behind. Fingers spread wide, arms open. Left in front, right behind.

Meditation #3 (3 MINUTES)

Put both of your hands in fists with your thumb under your fingers and press as hard as you can, like you are going to squeeze the blood out of them. Press, press, press hard. Arms at sixty degrees.

Move the arms in small backward circles. Squeeze, squeeze, squeeze hard. With each circle, you make with your arms chant “God.” Chant “God” powerfully from the navel.

The word “God” has three letters: “G,” which generates; “O,” which organizes; and “D,” which delivers and destroys. They are three sounds: G-0-D. God. When “God” is chanted from here (points to his navel point), then God can hear. When you chant “God” from the mouth, it makes no difference. He doesn’t even hear it. For this meditation chant when you squeeze your id band in your hand really hard and circle powerfully. The entire spine shakes. Sometimes you’ll find you are lifting yourself from the ground. Don’t worry. It’s not a small exercise. Now keep it going: stretch it, tight, tight, as tight as you can. And the circle should be tight.

 Meditation #4 (3 MINUTES TOTAL 1 MIN monotone, 1 MIN strong whisper, 1 MIN whistle)

1 MINUTE: Chant Har Haray Haree, Wahe Guru in a low monotone voice.  Deep—from the base. Cut down your bad karmas from forever. A deeper sound from the navel. Try it with honesty.

1 MINUTE:  Strongly whisper Har Haray Haree, Wahe Guru. Use the prana (breath). Burn any disease. Change the metabolism.

1 MINUTE: Whistle Har Haray Haree, Wahe Guru.

Meditation #5 (3 MINUTES)

Put your arms at shoulder level, left hand under, right over. Breathe long and deep. Don’t let the hands fall. They should be parallel to the ground.

Keep your spine straight; sit correctly. Breathe one breath a minute: 20 seconds to inhale, 20 seconds to hold, 20 seconds to exhale.  Breathe consciously one breath a minute for three minutes.

This is the complete Sobagh Kriya set. You are POWERFUL beyond belief and now you have invoked the wealth of the universe!!! 

If there is a misfortune written by the will of God, by doing this set you will make it into good fortune. I'm not saying "man-made." I'm saying if God Himself has 
written that you shall live under 
misfortune, by doing Sobagh Kriya you can turn your misfortune into prosperity, goodfortune, and 
good luck.

This is the most sacred and absolutely 
most powerful kriya of Kundalini Yoga. And it is in parts. 
You can do each part for either 3 or 11 
minutes, not more. If you do 3 minutes, do3 minutes, 3 minutes, 3 minutes, 3 minutes, and 3 minutes. If you do 11 minutes, do 11, 11, 11, 11, 11. That's the time. 
And do not exceed. 
So, I'd advise you to move very cautiously, very slowly. Affectionately practice it.

Meditation….starting with the basics..WHY & HOW!?

WHY MEDITATE:

I finally learned how to ACTUALLY meditate and once I had that breakthrough meditation I personally have had amazing willpower, I literally got my self off of cookie butter and I didn’t even feel like I was depriving or wanting something that I couldn’t have..I just decided I’m not eating it..I have 4 jars in my pantry as we speak that have now been there for over a year since I started meditating..just waiting to not be eaten. 🙂 Also I’ve been able to read! I mean I can actually read! For as long as I can remember I try and try to read but I have always had SOOOO many thoughts in my head that I couldn’t get through a page and actually understand it..now I CAN! I can have conversations with people and actually listen to them and not have my thoughts wondering..if this happens to you then you understand already but if not..basically most of the time I use to talk to people while planning my day or thinking whatever..and it seemed like every word they said would spark a new thought about SOMETHING! Making it so I really wasn’t listening. ALL of my relationships have improved significantly! I’m able to stay focused! (and just as an FYI…I had thought that I had meditated many times before I actually had..or at least before the “breakthrough” meditation and was wondering what all the fuss was about…MY key was not learning to get the mind silent, but controlling my mind when thought did come up to get back to the mantra and control it away..I think that’s what really helps…CONTROLLING YOUR MIND, not letting your mind run on its own.) All this was possible for me by spending 20 minutes per day with myself and actually MEDITATING and going within!

HOW TO MEDITATE:

When the recording starts (with Oprah) already be relaxed, either sitting comfortably or laying down (I lay down on the ground).

Start taking deep slow breaths, my favorite breath is the inhale through your nose for 6 seconds, hold breath for 2 seconds, exhale through your mouth for 7 seconds…(there are many breathing styles out there so if you don’t like this then do another one).

Close your eyes, calmly resting eyes in your head as if they are looking out your “3rd eye” in the middle of your forehead, if it hurts your brain, be more gentle, no one wants a headache..but sometimes it takes a lot of times to not get one..you are literally working your pineal muscle..and it’s just like any other muscle and can hurt when you’re strengthening it. 

Once Oprah and Deepak have spoken and you’re on your own with the mantra repeat the mantra, when other thoughts come into your head don’t get frustrated, just repeat the mantra, the key to meditation is getting those thoughts out pleasantly..but it’s natural to have them.

At end of Meditation stretch and have a great day or night. The “experts” say it’s best to meditate in the morning, I like to meditate in the morning but I ALWAYS mediate at night right before bed, it puts me into a great sleep.

**extra tip: If you have A LOT of thoughts while you’re meditating and you’re actually trying to not forget them..try writing out everything you have to do, everything you’re thinking in a journal or on a piece of paper BEFORE you start the meditation process so you can be more present and have fewer thoughts to fight off. 🙂

POWERFUL Meditation to Remove ALL Obstacles

This can be done once but is most powerful when done as a 40-day Meditation Practice.

This powerful meditation combines a mantra and a mudra to clear blockages in life and in communication.

You can do this meditation for 3, 7, or 11 minutes. 11 is best but do whichever you can commit to for 40 days straight.

If you forget to do a day..no worries..just start over. 😉

The mantra is to be chanted while sitting comfortably in easy pose with eyes closed and focused at the third eye point.
Having both of your hands with pinky and thumb touching and the three middle fingers upright. Hands are to be placed at shoulders with elbows bent by the rib cage.

Every time you say “such” thrust your stomach inward.

You will chant:
Aad such, jugaad such, hai bhay such, nanak hosee bhay such.“

This Meditation is perfect for when there is a block which you want to move, and it’s not moveable.

 

 

Because all that is stopped shall move.

 

 

Mudra to Open Up Blocks in Communication

Press the pad of the thumb firmly onto the nail of the Mercury (pinky) finger for about one minute. When we press the pad of the thumb onto the nail of the Mercury finger, it is called locking the Mercury finger. “By locking with the pinky (Mercury finger), you develop the inner strength to communicate anywhere with anyone, under any circumstances. Or read the thoughts thereafter.”

I swear it’s been magical since I started…I have opened up a writer’s block and I didn’t even know I was a writer! I have had even more energy! I have been able to stop sabotaging myself in terms of food and lifestyle patterns. So much good is just flowing out of me..I jenuinely feel that I am a bubble of light that is unabated and living confidently authentic with grace and love with every breath I take, every move I make, and every thought that comes. No matter what others say or do to me I am able to filter it through my bubble and and have the outcome for the greatest good shine through.

I’m on day 6 and I am experiencing breakthroughs in so many areas…I haven’t had coffee, or sugar (which I was addicted to), and have been able to do a cleanse easily with no cravings for junk food since I started this meditation to remove blocks. I’m noticing that I’m valuing myself even more, and am being a light for others and supporting them through being vulnerable and opening up! This meditation is fo real! Haha!
